BWS Reading Series at Community Bookstore

Join us for our next reading at Community Bookstore featuring Julia Lichtblau, Anna Katsnelson, and Leslie Maslow.

Julia Lichtblau’s fiction, criticism, and essays have appeared in American Fiction, The American Scholar, Commonweal, The Common, Blackbird, Narrative, The Florida Review, Superstition Review, The Drum, and elsewhere. She was book review editor of The Common for seven years and taught writing about business and the economy at Drew University. She is working on a novel set in West Africa and Washington, D.C. Before turning to fiction, she covered international finance in New York and Paris for BusinessWeek and Dow Jones Newswires for 15 years. She has an MFA in Fiction from Bennington College and lives in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Anna Katsnelson is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Harriman Institute at Columbia University and at CUNY. She received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Texas at Austinand was a Fulbright IIE Scholar to Brazil. She co-edited, with David Shneer, a special issue of the Journal of East European Jewish Affairs The New Wave of Russian-Jewish-American Culture, published by Routledge Press in 2017. Her articles on contemporary Russian American and American Jewish culture have appeared in Bustle and Forward.
Leslie Maslow is a writer and editor. Her fiction, essays and humor pieces have appeared in McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Open City Magazine, Naked Capitalism, Tin House and other journals
