The Brooklyn Writers Space provides a dedicated place for writers that is quiet and fosters their literary success.
We recently relocated our Park Slope space to 1st Street and 3rd Avenue in Gowanus. The new location is on the second floor of a new construction that has three exposures providing ample sunlight, a roof-deck, two bathrooms, a kitchenette lounge, and 29 desks.
185 1st Street, 2nd Flr :: a brand new space with 29 desks in a 2500 square foot facility. Features include ample sunlight via three exposures, a roof-deck garden for peaceful contemplation, and a kitchenette lounge for eating. This location used to be at 58 Garfield Place.
168 7th Street, 3rd Flr :: Known as ROOM 58, this space is designed for writers seeking both a quiet space and a room to sit at a desk and take care of the business side of writing, whether it’s interviews, working with a writing partner, or talking to your editor. This space is shared with visual artists in a 10,000 square foot 3rd Floor loft. The lounge is bright. There are eight desks in the quiet room and five desks in the business/phone room.
286 Court Street :: 18 desks in a 1200 square foot bright historic storefront next door to Union Market. Comfortable lounging furniture in the writing room give you an alternative workspace. Kitchenette lounge has a maple wood eating bar.
