We now offer a choice of three locations, Brooklyn Writers Space Park Slope, Room 58 in Gowanus, and the Brooklyn Writers Space - Carroll Gardens. To apply for MEMBERSHIP, writers must submit an application, resume, and three professional references which may include agents, publishers, editors, and associates who can speak to the applicant's seriousness.

Writers need not be published but must show serious intent.

We are currently accepting applications for the following locations:

Brooklyn Writers Space - Park Slope, our oldest and most established space that boasts a skylight, roof-deck and 24 desks.

Room 58 - Gowanus, this space is designed for writers seeking both a quiet space and a room to sit at a desk and take care of the business side of writing, whether it's interviews, working with a writing partner via phone, etc. This space is shared with visual artists of the Brooklyn Art Space in a 10,000 square foot 3rd Floor loft. The lounge is bright with tables for eating and a comfortable couch for lounging. There are eight desks in the quiet room and fives desks in the business/phone room.

Brooklyn Writers Space - Carroll Gardens, is a beautiful bright store front just down the street from BookCourt. Comfortable couches in the writing room gives you an alternative workspace to one the of eighteen carrels.

All of our locations have wi-fi, laser printing, and storage.

Quarterly - Rates are based on a three month commitment starting on Jan 15, Apr 15, Jul 15, or Oct 15.

Part-Time 2 $260/Quarter(after 3:30p until 10:30a weekdays; anytime weekends)


Semiannual - Rates are based on a six month commitment starting on Jan 15, Apr 15, Jul 15, or Oct 15. Payments are made in quarterly installments.
Full-Time $330/Quarter(24 hrs)
Part-Time 1 $200/Quarter(after 6pm until 8am weekdays; all day weekends)
Part-Time 2 $235/Quarter(after 3:30pm until 10:30am weekdays, anytime weekends)

*All quarterly and semiannual memberships are pro-rated for new members only. There is a one-time initiation fee for new members of $65. The Park Slope writers space requires a $20 key deposit. Storage costs $10 per month.
